I had a decent stay at The 5 Elements Hotel in Chinatown, but there were definitely some ups and downs. The location is super convenient, right in the heart of all the action, plus there are tons of food options nearby. However, my room could use some serious cleaning, which really affected my overall experience.

My room was small but clean enough; however, I noticed some cleanliness issues that made me uncomfortable. The carpets were stained and the bathroom could have been much cleaner.

The staff were friendly and tried their best, but the hotel facilities really need an upgrade and a thorough cleaning.

The location is definitely a highlight. I was close to Petaling Street, Central Market, and a ton of great eateries within walking distance.

Breakfast was a bit basic and not the best for western tastes, but there were lots of good food outlets nearby for meals any time of day.

The hotel had basic facilities, but the overall appearance felt dated and in need of renovation.

My recent stay at The 5 Elements Hotel in Chinatown was enjoyable, though there are aspects that could be improved. The location is fantastic, right at the heart of the bustling markets and within walking distance to the Pasar Seni MRT station. I found the room spacious and fairly clean, although I did notice some minor cleanliness issues. The breakfast was a highlight, offering a variety of tasty options. However, I did experience some cigarette smoke in the room which was disappointing.

Breakfast offered a lovely variety, with different menus each day, though I would have appreciated more options for tea drinkers.

While the internet connection was much better compared to previous years, some basic amenities, like ironing equipment and face towels, were missing.

I had a pleasant stay at The 5 Elements Hotel in Chinatown. its location is definitely a highlight, being just a short walk from Petaling Street Market and various dining options. However, I found some aspects of the hotel showing their age, particularly the bathroom facilities, which could use improvement. Overall, it was a good experience and I would recommend it to friends and family.

Rooms

My Deluxe Queen Room was of good size and clean, offering impressive views from the 13th floor. However, there was an issue with a musty smell in the room, and the windows could open fully, which was concerning.
Service

I was really impressed with the staff. they were exceptionally helpful and friendly, assisting with my luggage and offering recommendations for local sights and food.
Location

The hotel is perfectly positioned in Chinatown, making it incredibly easy to explore local markets and find a variety of food options nearby. Transport links are also conveniently close, allowing for easy access to the rest of the city.
Dining

Breakfast included a few decent options, though I was hoping for more variety, especially in terms of beverages like tea. The pancakes one morning were a standout, but overall, it could definitely improve.
Facilities

The hotel shows its age with older facilities, and while the bathrooms were functional, they could benefit from a more thorough cleaning.
